International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) launched its second Innovation Challenge

In an effort to accelerate the search for innovative solutions in the chemistry-sphere, the International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) launched its second Innovation Challenge to engage, award and promote Sustainable Chemistry innovators from around the world.

The Innovation Challenge 2020/2021 calls for innovations in the field of Sustainable Chemistry and Renewable Energies. Topics addressed by innovation proposals may include, among others, Sustainable Chemistry solutions for Renewable Energy supply and greenhouse gas reduction, the performance of materials and technologies, chemical production technologies based on carbon-neutral energy and CO2 feedstock supply, Renewable Energy sources as feedstock supply in chemical transformations and storage capacity building.

The Challenge will provide its five finalists with customized support within the ISC3 Global Start-up Service as well as global visibility, networking possibilities and pitch training. The winner will additionally receive a 15,000€ monetary prize and two further categories, namely “Best Social Impact” and “Best Regional Impact”, will be awarded monetary prizes of 5.000€ each.

The Innovation Challenge is open for all ideators and entrepreneurs employed by organizations including research institutes, start-ups, small-medium sized enterprises or comparable institutions active in the development and realization of sustainable chemistry innovations.
