On the 1^st July 2019, representatives of the University of New England (UNE) had a meeting with Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF). This meeting is the fundament to continue promoting the respectable partnership between the two universities in education, especially for the Agricultural Economics training program – the imported program from UNE – currently running by the Advanced Education Program (AEP).

Attending the meeting, there were the distinguished representatives of UNE, Prof. Drek Baker and Assoc. Prof. Stuart Mounter from the UNE’s Business School. For TUAF, there were the representatives of the Governing board, AEP, Office of Research and International Affairs, and the coordinators of the Agricultural Economics program at AEP.

At the meeting, the two parties had openly discussed about student and staff exchange programs in order to facilitate AEP students to be able to apply in short-term courses in Australia, research programs instructed by Australian supervisors. Simultaneously, the meeting also proposed many methods for promoting the cooperation of lecturers from the two universities and improving lecturing qualities.

UNE is one of the most long-established university in Australia, as well as the leading university in the innovatory task of researching and studying. It belongs to the top 500 best universities in the world, top 100 leading universities in Asian – Pacific region.

In the agreement of cooperation between the TUAF and the UNE, students studying Agricultural Economics at AEP are trained with the education programs imported 100% from Australia and the whole course is delivered in English. Concurrently, students are capable of achieving the UNE’s certificate pursuant to the Program “2 +2” (2 years studying in Vietnam and 2 years in Australia).
