THE 'EXPLORING TET' COMPETITION 2024

As Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, the Advanced Education Program is organizing the "Exploring Tet" 2024 competition to provide international students at TUAF with a special day to experience the traditional culture of Vietnam during the Tet holiday. This is an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the spirit of unity, fostering a friendly and enjoyable environment, and enhancing interaction among students from different countries. We hope that the competition will contribute to building cultural bridges, creating memorable and enjoyable experiences in the academic journey at TUAF.

1. Participants: TUAF International students

2. Competition rules:

- Students can register via the link: https://forms.gle/9Hqv5Hrg7FWAE76u8

- Registration by group (country/group) with each group consisting of 6 students (Countries with fewer than 3 students will be paired with another country)

Deadline for registration: 16h January 30, 2024 (Tuesday)

- The competition consists of 2 parts:

• Part 1: Chung Cake Packaging Competition

Step 1: Each group (country) will nominate 3 students to participate in packaging Chung cakes starting at 7:30 AM on February 1, 2024.

Step 2: Each team will pack 2 square Chung cakes (with provided ingredients), and then one student will boil the Chung cake.

Step 3: The products will be presented and decorated in the A4 auditorium in the afternoon, judged based on criteria, such as: appearance, taste, decoration, and knowledge of the dish.

• Part 2: Quiz Competition

Each group (country) will nominate 3 students to answer 10 questions related to the traditional Tet festival in Vietnam.

3. Prizes:

1st Prize: 1,000,000 VND (1 slot)

2nd Prize: 500,000 VND (1 slot)

3rd Prize: 300,000 VND (2 slots)

4. Time and venue:

• Chung Cake Packaging Competition: From 7:30 AM on February 1, 2024, at Hoang Yen Area (in front of the central building).
• Main festival and Quiz Competition: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on February 1, 2024, at A4 Meeting Room, Central Building.
