Discover the remarkable journey of three outstanding international students with us! They embarked on a truly enriching adventure at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia.
From August 8 to 22, Gerald Aguilar, Vi Thu Xoan, and Sanad Sabri were in Indonesia to take part in the Summer Course on Smart Farming Systems. This unique program was jointly organized by Universitas Brawijaya, Institut Pertanian Bogor University, and Wageningen University and Research from the Netherlands.
During this immersive experience, our students delved into various topics in smart farming. They explored precision farming, delved into social network analysis and the applications of smart farming technology, studied system dynamics, machine learning, sensing technology, AI in agriculture, and the economics of smart farming. Engaging lectures were conducted at the lecture halls of three faculties: the Faculty of Animal Science, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and the Faculty of Agriculture.
But learning didn't stop at the lecture halls. Our students had hands-on encounters at local dairy farms, fully immersing themselves in real farming activities and connecting with local dairy farmers. This practical approach enriched their learning by applying the insights gained from classroom teachings.
Beyond the classroom and farms, our students embraced cultural exchange and explored the iconic Indonesian attraction, Mt. Bromo, as part of a program organized by Universitas Brawijaya.
Indeed, their time in Indonesia was a blend of educational and joyful experiences. We extend heartfelt gratitude to our partner, Universitas Brawijaya, for inviting our students to this incredible opportunity.
