Pham Trang Nhung - The story of a beautiful girl who always strives to study and improve herself.

Let's listen to Pham Trang Nhung's story about her study at AEP and try to assert herself.

Hello everyone, I'm Pham Trang Nhung. I am a student at K51 Food Technology. Last year, I won the Bronze Award - one of the three most prestigious awards of the faculty. When I heard that I received the award, I was very touched because the hard work during the past year had paid off.

When I was in elementary and middle school, I was a naughty girl and didn't pay attention to my studies. Closer to the day, I started learning cabinets, rote learning. Therefore, even though I can do well on tests, the knowledge in my head comes and goes quickly. It is also because of the good reason that I was chosen to take the exam for Good Student in Mathematics. But the result was as expected, I failed miserably.

When I was in high school, I was in a class with many excellent friends. The fear of being left behind has motivated me to study harder. I started to study, read more, practice more… Just like that, I became the first runner-up of AEP 2019.

Honestly, even though I was happy and emotional at that time, I never stopped doubting myself. I wonder if I have real abilities or is it all just luck...

But then I also put that thought aside and gradually fell asleep on the victory. As a result, after finishing my first year, I only got 4.0 IELTS. That means I am not eligible to study in the second year. It was like a "slap" at the beginning of life, just because of negligence, laziness, engrossed in living in the past that caused such heavy consequences. Too disappointed with myself, I once intended to quit school and go back to my hometown to help my parents. But the advanced program teachers opened up an opportunity for me to correct my mistakes, which is the Bootcamp course - helping me improve my English skills, making a solid premise for majoring in the coming years. And also thanks to the course, I have met the IELTS target to be ready for the next school year.

Entering the second year, starting with more difficult and specialized knowledge, requiring high thinking. Learning from my first year experience, I tried very hard to listen to lectures and do homework, but the results were still not as expected, leading to sometimes depressed, wanting to give up, regardless of my grades. And then the teachers and classmates were by my side to help and support me so that I could easily overcome those difficulties. Especially to mention the two roommates - who supported, explained and sometimes helped me study until morning. When you set foot in a foreign land to study, there are people willing to help you in difficult times, it is really rare. It is also the luckiest thing in the past years.

And then the efforts during the past year also paid off. I am very happy! I have proven to myself that: I can do it, I am capable… I know that I have a long time ahead of me but I will always try to assert myself and do my best to achieve it. No regrets for this journey.

Thank you for your emotional sharing, Trang Nhung. Wishing you all the best in your future journey.
