The University of Applied Sciences Jena, Germany, offers Vietnamese students places to study for one semester (5 months) or to do internships for 3 months. The costs for travel, accomodation and living are covered within the project ‘EAH.International: University Collaborations in the Context of Sustainable Development‘ funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The project has its focus on biotechnology, environmental engineering, industrial engineering and business administration within the context of sustainability.

At the University of Applied Sciences Jena, about 4,500 students are currently studying in the engineering, economic, social and health sciences. In accordance with our slogan ‘Innovation for quality of life - health, precision, sustainability & networking’, we strive for interdisciplinary and international collaboration in teaching and research. The University offers courses that closely link science and application.

For students interested to study at our University, the following English taught modules are offered: Environmental Chemistry, Waste Treatment and Resource Efficiency, Off-Grid Energy Supply, Water Purification / Water Supply, International Economic Relationships, Eco-Balance, Environmental and Process Metrology as well as Production Logistics.

For students interested to do an internship at our University, the Department of Medical Engineering and Biotechnology offers to do research in the context of a bachelor or master thesis in the following areas: Microalgae Biotechnology, Lab- Scale Photobioreactor Operation, Bioprocess Monitoring, Control and Optimisation, Data Analysis, Modelling and Simulation.

Duration of internships: 01/09/2022 - 31/12/2022
