Program Overview

The Master of Environmental Science, delivered in English, was developed and tailor-made based on referential fundaments of environmental science education programs of countries with advanced education systems, especially, one of the University of Greifswald (Germany). The program aims to educate and create global human resources with high qualities in the specialization and the abilities to scientifically research and use English to meet international human resources requirements.

Type and period of training

  •  Training type: Full-time (2 years)
  •  Number of credits: 60
  •  Subjects are directly delivered by TUAF’s lecturers and international lecturers from Germany, the US, etc.
  •  Language of instruction: English
  •  Location: Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry

Final year students have choices to carry out graduate research projects in oversea partner universities of TUAF (in Taiwan, Germany, Australia, etc.)

Recruitment method

International students

  •  Assessment will be based on academic performance of the bachelor’s degree and English skills.
  • Students from English-speaking countries are exempted from English requirements.
  • Students who do not meet the English requirement (IELTS 5.5) can take English courses at TUAF to improve their English prior to their master's program.

Eligibility for registration

Citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and other countries who satisfy the criteria as follows:

  •  Possess a bachelor’s degree in environmental science OR relevant fields of study.
  •  Candidates with bachelor’s degrees majoring in relevant fields might be required to study some subjects to meet the required criteria for recruitment (these subjects will be offered by TUAF).
  •  Possess clear identities acknowledged by competent or local authorities; individuals under disciplinary sentences of warning or more serious forms or who are executing any criminal sentences are ineligible.

Tuition fee

  • Estimated tuition fee:  $USD 6100 for the 2023 rate (scholarships are available to get 50% off)

International students:

1) Registration form;

2) A copy of bachelor’s degree/certificate, and transcript;

3) 02 passport-sized photos at 3 x 4 cm;

4) A copy of the published article(s) (if available);

5) Health report;

6) A copy of the Birth certificate;

7) English certificate(s) (if applicable);

8) 02 letters of recommendation;

9) Curriculum vitae;

10) Medical certificate;

11) Police clearance;

12) Financial Proof.
