On 24th December 2018, a spectacular ceremony was organized at the A4 meeting room – Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry - in order to celebrate 3 important events, including Chrismas, Thanksgiving and The coming new year. This was a good occasion for students of the AEP in particular and students of the TUAF in general to have an ideal chance to be closer, to know more about each other due to various funny games. And also, the multicultural atmosphere was beautifully displayed by students from different countries like Mozambique, Laos, Philippines, China, Nigeria, Indonesia, and England via original performances. It can be said that students had been enjoying, as well as exploring new things from new cultures.
A short presentation introducing about celebrated events were presented at the beginning of the night. It was why participants of the ceremony understood about the origins of those events, as well as their profound meanings. Afterward, Dr. Nguyen The Hung – the founder of the AEP – concurrently the vice rector of the TUAF – had delivered a sincere, inspiring, and meaningful speech to the participants. That wasn’t only encouragement but also his compassion to foreign students of the school who are tirelessly following educational careers at the school, who weren’t able to return home for celebrating the Chrismas.
Prof. Nguyen The Hung with his emotional speech
After the profound speech of Professor Nguyen The Hung, a lot of performaces were displayed by students. Via the performaces, participants of the ceremony were pleased as they were having a nice opportunity to know more about the foreign cultures.
An interesting dance performed by students from Laos.
The sweet and angelic voice of Divine – a student from the Philippines.
An ebullient performace of Mozambique’s students
A traditional singing combined with a dance of dear Chinese students.
A traditional dance from Indonesia
Alternating with performances, there were a lot of funny games prepared by organizers. Thanks to the games, the atmosphere of the meeting room was growing more and more exciting.
“Putukan na”, a popular game in the culture of The Philippines requiring participants to smoothly cooperate with their teammates.
“The musical chair”, unlike “Putukan na”, requires perceptive ears from the participants.
During playing “Hep, Hep, Hooray!”, participants need to have precise and fast reflections in order to win
Those were all that happened during the Chrismas event – one of the most important occasion of foreign friends in the TUAF in particular and the whole Thai Nguyen city in general. At the ceremony of the AEP, the organizers did very well on helping the foreign students at the school to have a cozy Chrismas night, to feel like being at home. Hopefully, there will be warmer and meaningful activities organized in the future, so the students of TUAF, especially foreign ones, will always feel and perceive that the TUAF is their second home, as well as another huge famlily in Vietnam.
