On June 7, 2022, the meeting between the University Board of Directors and two Assoc. Dr. from the US took place at room A1 of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang - Rector of the University, Dr. Duong Van Thao - Head of Science, Technology & International Cooperation Department, Ms. Ly Thi Thuy Duong - Director of Advanced Education Program Office, Assoc. Dr. Aaron Kingsbury from the University of Maine (USA) and Assoc. Dr. Ignatius Cahyanto from the University of Louisiana (USA).

At the beginning, Ms. Duong shared about the overview of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry as well as the Advanced Education Program - the reason why those teachers came to Vietnam.

Besides, those two teachers also had some sharing and feelings about the university as well as life in Vietnam.

Mr. Ignatius gave a presentation on his field of research as well as shared about his journey from the US to Vietnam. In addition, he also introduced about the university he is teaching in the US, the second largest university in Louisiana, USA.

Mr. Aaron shared about his interesting life in Vietnam over the past 5 years. He has participated in teaching geography, GIS, remote sensing, drones, soft skills, participating in as well as organizing seminars, guiding students in research, participating in admissions at high schools in Thai Nguyen city. In particular, he had 2 exhibitions in the US about Vietnamese culture.

The meeting went smoothly, happily and warmly.

Hopefully, the Advanced Education Program will expand its network of partners in the US in the near future.
