10-DAY WORKING IMMERSION OF THE BRIDGEWATER SCHOOL STUDENTS AT ADVANCED EDUCATION PROGRAM OF TUAF.

It's wonderful to hear about the successful and enriching 10-day journey of the teachers, students, and parents from The Bridgewater School International, Inc. at the Advanced Education Program (AEP). The fact that they performed well in classes and engaged in exciting activities with Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) teachers and students speaks volumes about the positive impact of the program.

The inclusion of short trips to provinces in the North of Vietnam must have added a delightful cultural and experiential dimension to their journey. These trips likely provided a unique opportunity for TBS students to explore the rich history, diverse landscapes, and vibrant culture of the region.

This program not only contributes to academic growth but also  cultural exchange and a broader perspective among participants. The memories created during this journey will likely be cherished by the students, teachers, and parents alike.

Let's take a look back at the memorable moments of The Bridgewater School students !!

DAY 1: ARRIVING IN VIETNAM

The delegation participated in Welcome Meeting in Meeting Room A4, Center Hall at TUAF and they brought forth remarkable performances that have stirred up the atmosphere of the Welcome meeting. After that, while the High school group attended the Campus Tour to understand more about TUAF, the Elementary group visited the Museum of the Cultures of Viet Nam's Ethnic Groups, Thai Nguyen City. Here, they delved into the diverse cultures of Vietnam's ethnic groups. From traditional costumes to exquisite cuisines, from customs to the daily lives of ethnic groups such as Tay, Thai, Nung, etc…

DAY 2: VISITING IRIS SCHOOL AND PRACTISING VIETNAMESE CUISINE

TBS students were given the exciting opportunity to participate in a captivating campus tour hosted by IRIS, along with engaging sessions where they interacted with IRIS students. During these sessions, TBS students showcased their talents, fostering connections and forming new friendships with their counterparts from IRIS. Besides, they also performed their traditional dances for IRIS teachers, students, and all other guests, contributing to the Meeting's success.

In the afternoon, TBS students immersed themselves in a hands-on cooking session dedicated to practicing the art of Vietnamese traditional cuisine. The focus was on crafting Spring rolls and Pho rolls, providing an engaging and enriching experience. This culinary endeavor allowed the students to gain valuable skills and savor the joy of preparing and enjoying delicious Vietnamese dishes.

DAY 3: MEANINGFUL JOURNEY IN HANOI

The delegation embarked on a poignant historical journey to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, paying homage to the revered leader of the Vietnamese people. As the students roamed the expansive and breezy expanse of Ba Dinh Square, they visited significant landmarks such as Uncle Ho's Fish Pond, the Stilt House, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the One Pillar Pagoda. These landmarks, woven into the fabric of this immersive journey, provided TBS students with a unique opportunity to intimately explore the modest essence of President Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 4: EXPLORING HA LONG BAY AND BAKING EXPERIENCE

On the one hand, the Elementary group had an intriguing trip to Ha Long Bay - one of the most famous tourist destinations in Vietnam. On the first day, they had fun at Sunworld Ha Long theme park, where they experienced a sea-crossing cable car system to Ba Deo Amusement Park, a complex of exciting games and most delightful amusement facilities, such as Zen Garden, indoor game zone The Mysterious Castle and in particular the Sun Wheel, one of the tallest Ferris wheels of the world. In addition, they also indulged in the delightful freshness of local seafood, an indispensable part of this picturesque coastal city.

On the other hand, the High school group stayed in Thai Nguyen to participate in some lectures with AEP students. This can be considered a great opportunity for students from two schools to connect and learn from each other as well as professors in diverse fields. Moreover, students experienced making cream puffs for the very first time. During the process, they attentively absorbed every step of the teacher's instructions. Their genuine enthusiasm and unwavering dedication translated into the creation of not only delicious but also captivating pastries.

DAY 5: CONTINUING THE JOURNEY IN HALONG; VISITING DANKO CITY – THAI NGUYEN AND AGRONOMY LAB

The Elementary group embarked on a boat journey to explore attractions like Dau Do Cave, Thien Cung Cave, and various other points of interest. After that, they had their lunch on the boat and went sightseeing some unique islets of Ha Long Bay such as The Kissing Cocks, Dinh Huong Islet, etc… On January 12, the group returned to Ha Noi and enjoyed one night in the center of this beautiful capital. Finally, on the morning of January 13, they came back Philippines, concluding the tour with joy and excitement.

On the contrary, the high school group continued their journey by visiting Danko city of Thai Nguyen and the Agronomy Lab of the Department of Agriculture TUAF. Students were taken to observe the process of growing plants, vegetables, and flowers in the Greenhouse. This was a wonderful opportunity to understand more about how plants are produced and cared for. Furthermore, they enjoyed the Danko Square Festival at The Rome walking street, Dragon Eye Lake, resort-style swimming pool, and impressive clock tower along Champs-Elysees Avenue and enjoyed a unique cup of salted coffee here, which made for an enjoyable and memorable day.

DAY 6: CITY TOUR

The Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures is the next stop. Similar to the Elementary group, the students delved deep into a comprehensive exploration of the diverse cultures of Vietnam's ethnic groups.  They immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of traditions, from the intricacies of traditional costumes to the flavors of exquisite cuisine, and from the unique customs to the everyday life of ethnic communities such as Tay, Thai, Nung, Giay, Lao, Lu, San Chay, Bo, and many others.

DAY 7: FREE DAY

DAY 8: VISITING DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE – LECTURE WITH AEP STUDENTS

TBS students had another opportunity to visit the Department of Agriculture at TUAF. The visit was an insightful exploration of innovative techniques employed in the field of agriculture. Students had the chance to witness and participate in the preservation processes, gaining practical knowledge about sustainable plant cultivation and preservation methods. The Department of Agriculture provided a rich learning environment, allowing students to not only understand theoretical concepts but also to apply them in real-world scenarios.

DAY 9: PRESENTING REPORT, AWARDING OF CERTIFICATE

The students exuberantly narrated their 10-day journey during the Work Immersion program, captivating the audience with cherished memories through their presentations. To commemorate the success of this enriching experience, the Advanced Education Program presented certificates to both the dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students of The Bridgewater School. This ceremonious certificate awarding not only acknowledged the participants' commitment but also served as a testament to their valuable contributions and growth throughout the program. We hope to reunite with these students in their new roles as Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry students and continue to welcome other delegations from The Bridgewater School.

DAY 10: RETURNING PHILIPPINES

On the morning of January 17, the delegation returned to the Philippines. As we bid farewell to each other, our heartfelt wishes accompany you all. May good health be your constant companion, and may your academic journey be adorned with continuous triumphs. Eagerly anticipating the day when our paths cross again, we can reminisce and exchange more unforgettable experiences. Mabuhay and Maraming salamat !!!
