BRIDGEWATER STUDENTS’ FIRST TIME FRYING SPRING ROLLS: CHAOTIC BUT FUN!

07 Mar 2025 AEP Administrator

"Roll the nem, dip the sauce" – this trending phrase perfectly captures the vibe of our super fun cultural experience at AEP! For the first time ever, students from Bridgewater, Philippines got hands-on with making Vietnamese fried spring rolls (nem rán) – and it was a total plot twist!

Starting from scratch: From finely chopping ingredients, seasoning to perfection, to the ultimate dexterity test – rolling the nem! Some nailed it with perfect rolls, while others got creative with their own “freestyle versions” – but everyone had a blast!

Low heat, but high passion: The most suspenseful moment? Waiting for the spring rolls to turn golden and crispy in the sizzling oil! Once they were done, everyone was hyped – they looked so pro that we just had to snap pics for our stories!

Better than expected: The first bite was pure bliss – the crispy wrapper, the flavorful filling, and the sweet-savory fish sauce dip… an instant 10/10 foodie experience! Some students even took notes on the recipe, ready to open a Vietnamese food stall in the Philippines

More than just food, it was a cultural and friendship experience! Huge thanks to our Bridgewater friends for bringing so much laughter and fun. See you at our next adventure!
