The best TET holiday experience according to lots of international people is staying in an actual Vietnamese household. In the past Tet holiday, lots of international students spent their vacation staying in the home of their close Vietnamese friends in order to feel the true meaning of this occasion. They enjoyed many of Vietnam ’s traditional culinary cuisines and it was made tastier by the sense of belongingness they felt by eating together with a Vietnamese family. This was not only exclusive in the family per se but to the extent of the family clan for they also had fun in the escapades such as visiting the houses of relatives and friends usually by motorbike and private cars.

In some more exciting events, the Filipino students together with Ms. Ly Thi Thuy Duong of the Advanced Education Program of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry were invited to the event “ New Year 2016 – Thai Nguyen Integration and Sustainable Development” hosted by People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province on January 28, 2016. The program was participated by many delegates from different universities and provincial offices of Thai Nguyen province including officials and investors. This celebration is also held to welcome the New Year 2016 with the hope of good health, happiness, prosperity and continued success of Thai Nguyen Province towards Sustainable Development. During the celebration, the fast development within the province was proudly presented by the Chairman of the committee, Mr. Vu Hong Bac. Aside from that many traditional songs and dance performances were shown and tasty Vietnamese dishes were served with a smile by the most hospitable peoples.

Another party was organized by the International Programs Office for international students. The Coordinator of the Advanced Education Program,  Dr. Duong Van Thao wished everybody the happiest New Year 2016 with good luck and health,  excellence in studying, more great experiences and adventures and all success in all the things that the students are doing. He was fully assisted by Mr. Le Xuan Thanh and the manager of the dormitory where students are now residing.

With all these gatherings, what’s most important is the establishment of a stronger relationship which will enable all people inside and outside Thai Nguyen province to work together to continue to work towards excellence and achieve  Sustainable Development from this point of time and to the future.
