Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) hosted its International Exchange Night on September 17, 2026, bringing together Hiroshima University students and AEP students for an evening of cultural sharing.

The night began with lively performances from Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia, followed by a runway presentation bringing together students with their traditional attire, highlighting the unity and diversity of TUAF’s learning environment.

Japanese culture was then introduced through a calligraphy demonstration by some Hiroshima University students. Soon, several AEP students volunteered to try the activity themselves and experience a moment of creativity.

The night continued with origami-making with which students learned to fold colorful sheets of paper into miniature shuriken. Dinner was then served, offering dishes from different countries, including Vietnam’s tao pho and banh cuon, Japan’s dango and the Philippines’ adobo rice, Indonesia’s nasi goreng, bakwan, and Myanmar’s a thoke sone.

After the meal, the celebration continued with students taking turns trying a traditional bamboo dance, pairing up with other students from different cultures. Meanwhile, the others took the opportunity to engage in multi-cultural activities at the activity booths.

TUAF’s International Exchange Night highlights the importance of cultural exchange to foster mutual understanding, friendship, and connection globally. With this, the students were able to connect with people from different nations and learn, and explore more of their cultural activities.
