Congratulations Nguyen Minh Chau, who is a K46 AEP alumni won the Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship (APS) 2022-2023.
The Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship (APS) is a joint initiative of the Nippon Foundation, The University for Peace (UPEACE), and Ateneo de Manila University (The Ateneo de Manila University – AdMU).
The goal of the program is to train young Asians to become peace-building practitioners, ready to take on leadership positions in organizations around the world. In particular, it helps to strengthen the representation of Asian experts with expertise in Asian affairs in international organizations.
Nguyen Minh Chau, a K46 student majoring in Environmental Science and Management CTTT was honored to become one of two Vietnamese representatives to win this prestigious scholarship. This scholarship is open to citizens of Japan, Sri Lanka, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines who have graduated from universities, colleges, or higher education institutions. They have leadership capacity demonstrated through study results, extracurricular activities, or work, have an interest in activities for the local and regional communities, and especially need to have good English skills. The international learning environment at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry's Center for Science and Technology (NUCE) has created conditions for Minh Chau to achieve the necessary criteria.
During her time studying at CTTT, Minh Chau had many excellent achievements in study and extra-curricular activities. In 2016, Minh Chau was one of four students selected to receive scholarships for exchange students at National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. In 2017, Chau won a scholarship from the Southeast Asian Student Exchange Program (AIMS), to exchange at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. In 2019, Minh Chau won a full scholarship for Young Southeast Asian Leaders (YSEALI) from the United States. From 2019 to 2022, Minh Chau is responsible for many tasks at the Advanced Program, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry such as training specialist, project assistant, mentoring student groups at startup competitions at the university level and provincial level.
The achievements that Minh Chau has achieved will become a shining example for generations of students of AEP to follow.
